Tanisha Tate is a multitalented professional with over 20 years of experience providing marketing, event planning, public relations, programming, and fundraising services for corporations, entertainment firms and non-profit organizations. Ms. Tate recently served as Program Director for award winning youth non-profit organization, Hip Hop 4 Life, of which she was also a co-organizer with Founder Tamekia Flowers-Ball in 2003. At Hip Hop 4 Life, Tanisha Tate was responsible for developing and leading the planning and implementation of long- and short -term programming, resulting in revenues in excess of $1M. Ms. Tate supervised weekly youth empowerment forums and parent workshops in schools, juvenile detention centers, and community centers throughout New York City and Northern New Jersey. Tanisha Tate has been recognized by The J. Walter Thompson Agency and New Vision Magazine for her work with Hip Hop 4 Life and currently serves on the organization’s Advisory Council.
Previously, Tanisha Tate was the Major Gifts and Planned Giving Manager at the Ms. Foundation for Women, where she managed a portfolio of 131 major gift donors and assisted in securing over $20 million in one year for the organization’s planned giving program. Before Ms. Foundation, she was the Corporate Relations Manager at the Children’s Health Fund (CHF), where she managed cause-marketing partnerships with organizations including Clorox, Party City, American Express, Tickets-For-Charity and Delta Air Lines, Inc. She developed and maintained CHF’s first-ever corporate volunteer program to further nurture and steward relationships with donors.
Throughout her career, Ms. Tate has also created and implemented marketing policies, event strategies and media campaigns for clients including McDonald’s Corporation, Tom Joyner Syndicated Morning Show and Bank of America to name a few. In 2014, she assisted in launching and promoting New York’s newest R&B station, Radio 103.9FM.
