Overview
The New York City Department of Education (“NYC DOE”) the largest school district in the United States, serving over one million students. The Students in Temporary Division of the NYC DOE provides support and advocacy for families who are temporarily homeless.
Epiphany Blue partnered with the NYC DOE’s Students in Temporary Housing division and provided full-service event management for the inaugural #STHACHIEVE Conference, held in February 2020 at Hostos Community College and attended by 900 people. We worked closely with our client to create an event that was not only educational, but engaging and entertaining for the attendees. Using our audience engagement expertise, Epiphany Blue incorporated themes of wellness and self-care throughout the event with activities including chair massages, yoga, and a wellness relaxation room. This full-day experience included thirty-seven consecutive workshop breakout sessions, an exhibition fair, a wellness activity center, keynote presenters, and a movie screening.
In 2021, Epiphany Blue advised the New York City Department of Education on how to transition this event to a virtual platform, and was once again retained to provide event planning services. This relationship continued in 2022 and 2023.
“I wanted to personally reach out to thank you for the tremendous job you did preparing for and executing the #STHAchieve Conference. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellent customer service really stood out to not just our team, but to all who attended.”
